ChampionChip TimePoint will be one of the important spearheads of the Great Activity Campaign.
On May 10th a campaign to improve the health of the nation of the UK was made public in Manchester. The target of this campaign is to increase activity and to get millions of people in the United Kingdom to clock up one hundred million miles per year through walking, cycling, running (and so on) by 2012. A dozen of TimePoints in various cities all over the country will form The Great Way.
With the slogan Take to the Streets, the initiative was launched by the Minister of Sports. Aimed at increasing activity and improving fitness to fight obesity, the Great Activity Campaign will incorporate:
Brendan Foster, a former distance runner (5 and 10k) and founder of of the Great North Run is the brainchild of ths campaign, which also has the support of the government and the Prime Minister, Tony Blair.
