Swimming Center De Tongelreep Eindhoven |
|
The National Swimming Center De Tongelreep in Eindhoven is part of Genneper Parken. De Tongelreep is unique in the Netherlands with, among other things, a 50-metre competition pool with 3,000 seats, a 25-metre diving pool and a 4-lane training pool.
ChampionChip realised a TimePoint in this training pool in association with the National Swimming Center De Tongelreep and the InnoSportLab. With this system the times of the lanes covered can accurately be registered and immediately be examined on the display next to the pool. The TimePoint counts the number of lanes covered, the total distance covered and the total time. And of course all the information is directly available online.
TimePoint offers many possibilities for top-class sportspeople as well as for recreational sportspeople. Where times used to be clocked manually, you can now immediately see in which time a specific distance is covered.
In the training pool InnoSportLab has developed other innovative products and techniques to help swimmers with their training and to improve their performance. Click for more information: http://www.trainingcentredetongelreep.com/
The National Swimming Center De Tongelreep distinguishes itself when it comes to scale and offer from the European pools as a result of the combination of a large-scale leisure pool with slides, instruction pools, outdoor pools, recreational pools and the 3 pools described above. At the swimming center there is room for recreational swimming, swimming lessons, special groups, individual recreational sportspeople in groups but also for people swimming a few lanes, second-rank competitors and the national and world top.

Lake Toolenburg Hoofddorp |
|
The recreation lake links up with the Toolenburg district in Hoofddorp. The lake can be reached via de IJweg and the Bennebroekerweg and is also well accessible by bicycle.
The total recreation area is over 85 hectares large. On a beautiful summer day approximately 6,000 visitors (350,000 people a year) are taken into account.
The shape of the area has been inspired by the surrounding polder. Rectangular shapes are alternated with sinuous shores, twisting paths and frayed borders. The area can roughly be divided into three zones:
The park area: here people can walk and play. There will be a playing meadow and a small playing pond.
- The nature area: here nature can take its course: shallow, marshy areas where amphibians and fish flourish; a sandy terrain with dune vegetation. There will also be an area for dogs here.
- The shore and water recreation: in this area people can sun, swim and surf. The island separates the surfers from the swimmers.
Here you can also find the TimePoint system. Alongside the road, at approximately 25 metres from the start, you will see a scoreboard. Immediately after you pass the TimePoint this is where you can see your personal lap time. Over and over again, each and every lap. This way you can compare your times per lap or with previous results or with the lap times of other sports people or retrieve them at another moment via MyChampionChip.com. Of course the chip can also be used for training groups and associations. You can purchase a chip at ChampionChip Netherlands.
