Sportfondsen Group chooses TimePoint |

Signed contract between ChampionChip and Sportfondsen Group
 ChampionChip and Sportfondsen Group, the national organization coordinating approximately 80 swimming pools in the Netherlands signed a contract for cooperation.
Swimming in pools with a TimePoint offers a new challenge for swimmers. With this system the number of lanes covered can be accurately registered and immediately be seen on the display next to the pool. The TimePoint counts the number of lanes, the total distance and the total time. Of course all the information is directly available online at mychampionchip.com.
Installation
Under the name ClubAquaWatch, the Sportfondsen Group offers swimming pools a ChampionChip TimePoint. The antennas are mounted into slots in the swimming pool wall. The swimmer attaches a Chip to his wrist and/or ankle with a strap. The moment the swimmer touches the wall, the chip sends a code and the recorded time to the TimePoint reader.

 In February a new TimePoint was opened in the National Swimming Center De Tongelreep in Eindhoven. The TimePoint is located in the 50 metre 4-lane training pool of the Center. The TimePoint counts the number of lanes covered, the total distance covered and the total time. For more information, click here.

On May 10th a campaign to improve the health of the nation of the UK was made public in Manchester. The target of this campaign is to increase activity and to get millions of people in the United Kingdom to clock up one hundred million miles per year through walking, cycling, running (and so on) by 2012. A dozen of TimePoints in various cities all over the country will form The Great Way.
